Third Grade Teacher
About Mrs. Larrow
I believe that all children can achieve at high levels. The foundation for success within my classroom is developed by the implementation of Responsive Classroom practices. These practices include the use of community building, interactive modeling, and positive teacher language; which set the tone for a productive classroom. I firmly believe when students feel emotionally and socially confident amongst their peers they have increased student engagement and academic gains.
To promote academic gains, I apply a broad range of strategies. Every student’s experience is enriched by differentiating lessons for learning styles. I incorporate center work, collaborative group work, manipulatives, and technology to engage learners. Above all, I encourage students to assume a very active responsibility for their own learning through the use of choice, student led activities, and student involved sharing and reflecting.
